This transition involves completing an audit of all processes and, from this, identifying areas that will need to be improved to meet new ISO 45001 requirements.

Transitioning from AS 4801 is currently not mandatory, however, it is still worth considering the benefits ISO 45001 certification may offer your business.

ISO 45001 standards encourage greater management commitment, highlighting the active and participatory role management have in leading members of an organisation towards improved OH&S. Worker involvement is also viewed as particularly important, promoting the shared responsibility of all those within a business to minimise risks.

ISO 45001 incorporates the need to proactively identify and address potential causes of injury in the workplace. Certification provides credible evidence that your business is operating at the frontier of current workplace safety measures, while also ensuring that all operations are in compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
