With a team of 20 (and growing) consultants across Australia we complete numerous ISO certifications and related compliance projects every year.

Heather Bienefelt (Director)

Qualifications: B.A. (Eng); Grad Dip HR (Qual); Lead Auditor (RABQSA International); Food Safety and Quality Management; Certificate IV Trainer and Workplace Assessor

  • Heather founded Integrated Compliance Solutions in 2008 with the vision of building a business which was efficient, innovative, flexible and most of all ethical.
  • As a proficient trainer, consultant and auditor, for over 15 years, Heather specialised in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, within sectors as diverse as education, food manufacturing, printing and packaging, automotive parts, healthcare and a wide range of other manufacturing, distribution and service industries.
  • She now focuses on the strategic planning and positioning of Integrated Compliance Solutions, building and maintaining connections as well as training and mentoring both the internal team and external consultants.
  • Heather is passionate about doing meaningful work that helps people. She is motivated to continuously improve the world of compliance – determined to find and solve all the pain points, and to save people time and effort by implementing usable day to day systems rather than just tick boxes for audits.
  • Heather ensures that Integrated Compliance Solutions is based on ethics, honesty, humanity, fairness, positivity, and constructive feedback.  She has always instilled and encouraged a team approach to business and loves working with clients to achieve their desired results.

Dean Verity

Diploma in Quality Auditing; Associate Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering; Advanced Certificate in Electronics; Certificate in Vocational Training; Advanced Certificate in Electrical Engineering; Cert IV in Competitive Manufacturing; LEAN Manufacturing Training

  • Dean is an experienced Quality + Health and Safety consultant with extensive communication and leadership skills
  • He has a sound understanding of business processes, along with production planning skills and precise management of installations and projects, through his knowledge of business improvement methods consistent with LEAN – this is accompanied by thirteen and a half years of disciplined employment with the Royal Australian Air Force
  • With practical experience in manufacturing and defence industries, Dean has been responsible for maintaining quality management systems in  accordance with ISO standards
  • Dean has been involved in a number of organisations accredited with ISO 9001 + ISO 45001 and undertaken LEAN training which enabled him to see the benefits of how both of these can improve the operations within organisations
  • He assists clients in the development, maintenance and auditing functions of their ISO 9001 Quality Management systems, plus catering for companies that require assistance with their ISO 14001 Environmental and ISO 45001 WHS Management systems
  • Dean has developed and implement a strategy that will advance the adoption of LEAN methods of manufacturing plus established a culture where all employees understand, support and enthusiastically contribute to process improvements and LEAN implementation.

Matthew Copeland

Qualifications: Graduate Certificate of Business Administration, Diploma of Management and Leadership
Professional Memberships: Asset Management Council (AMC) Member since 2017, Australian Institute of Management (AIM), Affiliate Member since 2016.

  • Matthew is the Business Development Manager for ICS. With 18 years of experience in commercial and program management roles, he has built a robust career throughout various corporate and government organisations, in the utilities, telecommunications, transport and government sectors.
  • Matthew’s extensive experience spans multiple sectors, making him proficient in asset management (ISO 55001 & AMAF), risk management (ISO 31000 & VRGMF), HSEQ (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & CCF), and information security (ISO 27001 & PDSF).
  • As a business strategy and business process specialist, Matthew has demonstrated success in governance, risk assurance and audit, driving improvements across both large organisations and specialist entities.
  • As a consultant he has played a pivotal role in achieving multiple initial accreditations and re-certifications, with particular expertise in maintaining these through strong governance and system assurance.
  • He has strong leadership capabilities spanning all key business areas including commercial, project/program management and engineering/maintenance and client management in diverse business environments and multi-faceted client groups.
  • As an astute leader, Matthew is committed to ensuring quality leadership in complex and challenging business settings. He excels in applying good governance over standards and change management services, identifying best practices, facilitating meaningful discussions, and deriving valuable metrics that drive business success.

Frank Leo

BE (Chemical) Hons University of Melbourne; Grad. Diploma (Quality Management) RMIT; Challenge Assessment (OHS) Curtin University; Professional Member AIHS; Construction White Card VIC; External Assessor for ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO14001

  • Frank is a chemical engineer, having applied his technical and process skills
    in the petroleum, chemical and mining industries.
  • He is an effective project manager who by using a highly developed ability
    to plan, lead, organise and control, is able to deliver value-added end to end
    process improvements.
  • He has experience with internal audits and is responsible for implementing
    audit programs covering ISO-based management systems for Quality, OHS
    and Environment.
  • He has provided technical support and audit services to operational mine
    sites in Australia and Asia for the maintenance of their ISO-based
    management systems for Quality, OHS and Environment.
  • Frank has more than 20 years of experience in improving business processes through a collaborative approach with stakeholders.
  • Working for leading JAS-ANZ accredited Certification Assessment Bodies for
    over 25 years, Frank provided third party assessment services against the
    ISO-based management systems standards for Quality, OHS and
    Environment and conducted lead auditing covering a portfolio of Australian
    and overseas clients at various stages in the certification process in a range
    of industries such as mining, petroleum, chemical, architectural firms,
    manufacturing, construction and service.
  • Identified and managed the engagement of an independent agency
    (Institute of Internal Auditors Australia) to audit and review the internal
    audit program of an international mining company. The review involved
    interview of stakeholders, a survey and review of documentation. A 90%
    compliance against international standards (IPPF) was achieved, with
    commendations from the independent auditors.
  • Frank takes charge of improvement projects and manages their delivery
    through to full implementation; setting project objectives, developing
    implementation plans, defining responsibilities, monitoring against plans,
    reporting to stakeholders, applying risk and assurance processes.
  • He enjoys challenging the ‘business as usual’ processes through assessing and evaluating, determining the ‘value-add’, collaborating with stakeholders and getting them on board, providing effective communication, applying a ‘hands on’ and interactive leadership style that aims to optimize the capacity and productivity of people.
  • Frank works effectively with stakeholder teams and executive and middle management to achieve agreed deliverables, building long and trusted relationships with stakeholders, coaching and mentoring, capacity building through effective training delivery and field observation.
  • Frank has provided business improvement consulting primarily in the area of integrated management systems based on ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001 in most industries and sectors.
  • His skills include the design and application of effective and sustainable governance and risk mitigation processes, monitoring and reporting to executive management, assurance through review and independent audit processes, and associated corrective actions management.

Mina Matti

  • Mina is an experienced professional with over 13 years’ experience in in ISO Accreditation, Management and Business Development
  • She has developed excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a proven ability to positively engage customers to deliver successful business outcomes
  • Mina has previously worked as a management consultant and auditor of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 with the ability to provide extensive background knowledge on adapting change within an organisation
    • Mina adheres to business models that facilitate rapid adoption of new systems and processes in relation to ISO Accreditations & WHS Management Systems
  • Throughout her career, Mina has contributed to impacting business outcomes through effective organization, prioritization, and execution of key projects and in previous roles, she has exercised a calculated and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Mina is knowledgeable in operations management and business analysis with proficiency in policy and her professional goals align with the company’s mission and values
  • Mina is dedicated to mentoring and helping others gain success as this is what she finds rewarding about her role as a consultant/auditor

Nino Elcic

Qualifications: Postgraduate Certification, Information Technology; Foundation and Implementing an ISMS ISO/IEC 27001:2022

  • Nino specialises in creating, digital and/or documented, solutions for clients requiring secure and complaint 27001 management systems.
  • He draws on his knowledge of Information Technology and his membership to ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) to ensure high levels of Cyber Security, including Governance, Risk Management, Compliance and Incident Response Management, are met.
  • Nino has a passion for ISO 27001 and is interested in the differences between the requirements for ISO, SOC 2 and Essential8.
  • Nino is an innovative and creative thinker who understands algorithms, data structures and programming, utilising this knowledge to solve complex problems and provide effective solutions for businesses.
  • He always focuses on the effective delivery of service and can easily engage with all levels of an organisation, stakeholders, clients, and partners.
  • Nino’s work is mostly independent; however, he enjoys working within our team of consultants, providing advice and implementing new ideas and changes with a focus of continual improvement.

Mark Heaton

Qualifications: Dual Diploma of Business and Leadership; Certificate IV in Competitive Systems with a focus on LEAN methodologies.

  • Mark has over 15 years practical experience within the manufacturing, waste management and recycling and cleaning industries.
  • As a consultant, Mark’s expertise lies the standards of ISO 9001(Quality), 45001(Health and Safety) and 14001 (Environmental); including creating LEAN manufacturing processes, developing SWMS, SOP’s and work instructions, creating digital management systems from scratch, transferring paper-based documents to digital and utilising all the features within Monday.com.
  • Mark’s experiences have helped developed his passion of ISO, process improvements and document management. He enjoys trouble shooting, coaching, mentoring and exceeding expectations.
  • Mark is a natural born leader, with the ability to work with many different stakeholders, he takes the time to understand the business needs and objectives, creating and customising management systems meet the needs of each business.
  • He is an effective communicator, providing a calm and humorous environment to provide advice on issues, actions, non-conformances that is easy to understand and follow.
  • Mark is passionate about helping people and values any opportunities which allow him to grow and expand his knowledge.

Anna Armstrong

Qualifications: ISO 14971 Risk Management

  • Anna is a consultant passionate about the methodologies behind ISO standards. She is intrigued by their requirements and managing compliance within businesses.   
  • Anna has predominantly worked within the medical and laboratory industries over the last 7 years and has the utmost focus on quality control, documentation, and the delivery of best practice at all times.
  • She has also had over 10 years’ experience across manufacturing SaaS, calibration, retail stores, call centres and service centres.
  • Working within a team of skilled consultants, her strengths lie in document control including reviewing and updating, risk management, reporting, analytics and database management.
  • She is highly experienced within the standards of ISO 14971 (Medical Devices), ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Health and Safety), managing both documented and cloud-based solutions.  
  • Anna works to high standards, ensuring processes are accurate, efficient, customised and easy to understand. She has an inquisitive personality, is very personable and helpful.
Hunter Ingrilli

Hunter Ingrilli

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, Environment & Society; Internal Auditor of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) ISO14001:2015; Internal Auditor of Quality Management Systems (QMS) ISO9001:2015

  • Hunter has over 5 years of experience providing document control, administration, accounts and marketing support to companies centred on aerospace, sustainability, climate change, logistics, manufacturing and retail.
  • As a consultant, Hunter’s expertise lies in the standards of ISO 9001(Quality), 45001(Health and Safety) and 14001 (Environmental). Environment is their passion.
  • Hunter works directly within a team of skilled consultants. They specialise in creating digital management systems from scratch, reviewing systems for legislation updates,  updating risk registers and managing the outcomes of audits.
  • They are very tech-savvy, particularly when utilising Monday.com, SharePoint, and other cloud-based project management tracking solutions.  
  • They have an extremely positive outlook, can promote engagement of systems within all levels of stakeholders, promotes effective ways to improve team processes and always thinks outside the box.
  • Hunter is extremely driven and proactive; they always meet deadlines and value any opportunities that allow them to grow and expand their knowledge.

Charlene Tullio

Qualifications: Bachelor of Business, Marketing; Certificate, Direct Marketing

  • Charlene is a resourceful and dedicated client and account manager with over 25 years’ experience.

  • Likely to be the first person you speak to when reaching out to ICS, Charlene helps navigate the complex landscape of compliance using scoping meetings, proposal run-throughs and product demonstrations.

  • Charlene is committed to guiding all clients, in their pursuit of growing and developing their business, by understanding the individual requirements and developing tailored solutions which align with their business goals.

  • All questions, queries and ideas are welcomed by Charlene, nothing is too out there, as she encourages open discussions and process mapping.

  • Charlene enjoys fostering strong relationships, she maintains contact with clients throughout their projects and provides guidance and support as and when needed.

  • Charlene has an extremely positive outlook, she is sincere in her approach, understanding and thorough, with the intention of always ensuring ICS deliver high-quality compliant solutions to all.

Karen Talbot

Qualifications: Diploma in Management (Teesside University, UK) and National Vocational Qualification (Level 4) in Business -equivalent HNC.

  • Karen has been a key member of ICS for 14 years, assisting the business as it has grown and developed.
  • Having had over 30 years’ experience in administration and sales support, Karen utilises her skills and qualifications in her fast paced and multifaceted role, which includes HR, Quality Assurance and Sales Support, all while managing a team of support staff.
  • Karen is responsible for all internal processes within the business, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and conducted in a timely manner, as well as managing, training, and mentoring staff.
  • Karen manages the company’s CRM and is constantly reviewing the system, implementing improvements to streamline and integrate existing processes.
  • As the business continues to expand, Karen also takes on the responsibility of hiring new members to the team, identifying personnel requirements, sourcing and interviewing candidates and partaking in candidate selection.
  • Karen is extremely knowledgeable, calm under pressure, proactive and reliable. She is always able to find a solution to a problem, never misses a deadline and works with everyone’s best interest at heart.

Angela Laidlaw

Qualifications: Higher National Diploma – Business Management; Certificate III, Office Administration

  • Angela is an expert Sales and Marketing professional with over 25 years’ experience, working predominantly within the international market.
  • Angela has built a successful business and developed her career starting as a sales consultant, working her way to Director of sales.
  • Having worked with ICS since mid 2017, Angela has worked within most areas of the business, now focusing on Sales, Software Support and Legislation.
  • Angela manages the administration of the ICS Legislation Update Service, ensuring updates are developed quarterly, managing client expectations and providing software support and training for Monday.com.
  • Along with the Legislation Service, Angela provides immeasurable support for the ICS Sales team, maintaining the database, creating reports, as well as writing proposals, project details, training documents and marketing materials.
  • Angela is efficient, positive, and resourceful, nothing is ever too hard. She loves her work and it is evident in the results she produces.

Naomi Leckie

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, Management (Human Resources); Certificate, Business Administration

  • Naomi is a skilled HR professional with over 10 years’ experience developed throughout her career with businesses based in Australia and internationally.
  • Naomi has a strong knowledge and understanding of developing policies, procedures, relationship building, CRM management and employment relations.
  • Along with her HR background, Naomi has worked closely within workplace health and safety, compliance, project management, business administration, legislation, immigration, marketing, and strategic development.
  • At ICS, Naomi provides support to the sales team, assists with interviewing consultants, managing client and consultant relationships and HR administrative support.
  • Naomi is enthusiastic about her work, has strong attention to detail and endeavours to find the best solutions to problems.
  • Naomi enjoys the personal growth opportunities provided by ICS – working closely with consultants, developing her knowledge of ISO processes and obtaining feedback from clients.

Mel Rak

Qualifications: Diploma of Business Management, Certificate IV in Administration & Financial Services and Power BI Training

  • Mel has over 15 years’ experience within administration, project, client and business management, within the Transport, Warehousing, Retail, Information Technology industries.
  • With dual functions at ICS, Mel is an all-rounder. Her primary role is as the personal assistant to Director Heather Bienefelt, however she also she assists with sales support and completes sales activities for our legislation services.
  • Mel is highly skilled in cloud-based systems, reporting, training and presentations, coordinating and implementing projects, managing budgets, time management, issue resolution and process improvements.
  • She takes the time to understand the needs of clients and individuals, focusing on the reason behind each action before implementing changes or providing solutions to issues.
  • Mel is passionate about helping people, relationship building and project management. She loves ensuring a smooth onboarding process and providing support to clients throughout their experience.
  • She is very enthusiastic, highly organised, detail orientated, relatable, empathetic and understanding.

Lachie Allison

Qualifications: Make.com foundation and basics course, Introduction to Monday.com products, Working with heights and construction induction card.

  • Starting his career within the construction industry, Lachie made the move to ICS and the world of technology at the start of 2023.
  • Since joining ICS, Lachie has expanded his IT skills and become an expert in software support for both Monday.com and Make.com, he handles all software support tickets with calmness, and ease.
  • Lachie works closely with ICS consultants for digital integrated management system projects, including full system developments, documentation transitions to cloud, and ad hoc digital document creations.
  • Lachie attends general client meetings and demonstrational meetings outlining the benefits of integrated digital management systems relating to Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality.
  • Lachie has a keen interest in technology and prides himself on being able to keep up to date with ICS software and its functions.
  • Lachie has wonderful attention to detail, is proactive, focused and enjoys working with the ICS team.
